Types of Training and Development Training Process in HRM These training programmes can be broadly divided into on-the-job and off-the-job categories: 01. On-the-job training uses the same tools, equipment, documentation, and resources that students will use after finishing their training and is conducted in a normal work environment. On-the-job training is typically regarded as the most advantageous for vocational labour. 02. Off-the-job training occurs away from regular work environments, suggesting that the individual is not considered to be a directly productive worker at that time. One benefit of off-the-job training is that it gives employees time away from their jobs to focus more intently on the training itself.
