Encourage the employee development plans
There are three key elements every individual development plan should include:
- Employee competence: What are the employee's strong points? How can they best utilise their abilities to benefit the team and company by producing better outcomes? How might these outcomes advance and aid in their professional development?
- Organisational needs: What does the organisation require? What are its advantages and disadvantages? What technological capabilities and skill sets does it require to remain competitive in the market?
- Employee passion: What excites the worker? What do they actually find fulfilling and enjoyable to perform? How might these interests be more effectively matched with their abilities and the demands of the company?
